The "Big List" - a consulting tool for hire

 I’m excited to unveil a very labor-intensive project that I’ve been working on.  While I’m always happy to answer all your questions about the plants that I grow, I’ve also been keeping an eye on other nurseries and seed companies to catalogue about four hundred Washington-native plants that are at least sometimes commercially available.  If you’re interested in this service, I can provide comprehensive lists to help you choose plants from the wider market based on:   
 

- sun and moisture requirements 

- growth form   

- height   

- evergreen/deciduous   

- annual/perennial/biennial 

- flower coloration and months   

- ethnobotanical uses (including edibility, fiber, and herbal)   

- naturally occurring in eastern vs western WA 

- where I last saw it available, as seeds or plant 

 For use of such a list, I bill for two hours of consultation plus one hour for each additional zone; for example, a rock wall plus a front yard meadow would be two distinct zones and therefore billed as three hours of consultation.  My consultation rate will be raised from $110/hr to $120/hr on March 19th, 2024 (the first day of spring in North America)
